Jim Jenkins

Hi y’all! My name is Jim Jenkins and I am from Hawkins County, Tennessee. I am currently a senior in high school and plan on attending the University of Tennessee in Knoxville with a major in Food and Agricultural Business in the fall of 2022. Over the course of my 9 year 4-H journey, I’ve shown sheep, competed in public speaking contests, and won my project area. Currently, I serve as the Easter Region All-Star Chief and the Tennessee 4-H State Council President. My involvement in 4-H has given me life skills that I would not have learned anywhere else. I am so excited to be a part of the Youth Design Team and I am even more excited to see all of you at the 101st National 4-H Congress!

Five things I love about being a 4-H member:
• Service opportunities
• Meeting new people
• Involvement in my community
• Educating the youth on agriculture
• Travel across our nation

Quote about National 4-H Congress
National 4-H Congress is a place where we can meet others from across the country who share the same love for our communities and serving others. It is a once in a lifetime chance to go and celebrate our 4-H careers and successes. Not only is it a place to meet new people, but it is also a place where you can fall in love with this great organization all over again.
